Metal card price in India: what you actually pay for
Metal cards in India range from about ₹2,800 to ₹6,000. Here is what changes the price, and what should always be included.
If you search for a metal card in India, you will see prices from under ₹2,000 to well over ₹5,000. The difference is rarely just the metal. Here is what you are paying for, and what to check before you buy from anyone.

What changes the price of a metal card
1. Real steel, or a coated plastic card?
Some cards sold as "metal" are plastic with a metal-look coating, or a thin metal sheet on plastic. A solid stainless steel card weighs far more than plastic. Ours is 27 g, around five times a regular plastic card. Ask the seller for the weight.
2. Is the chip transfer included?
A metal card is only useful once your chip is inside it. Check whether the price includes the transfer, the pickup and return shipping, and whether the transfer is guaranteed to work.
3. How detailed is the engraving?
Simple text costs less than fine artwork across the whole card. Detailed designs take longer on the laser and need more checks.
4. The finish
Matte, brushed, glossy, gold and rose gold finishes are made differently. At Metacards, all nine finishes are the same price for pre-made designs, so you can choose the look you like.
5. Do you see it before it is made?
Every card is engraved for one person, so it cannot be resold. A preview before engraving protects you from typos and surprises. We send every custom and design card on WhatsApp first.
Is a cheaper metal card worth it?
Sometimes. But a card you carry every day for years should feel solid, keep its finish, and work every time you insert it. Compare the weight, what is included and the after-sales support, not just the number.
